Terms of Service
01Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LogicLadder (the "Service"), a competitive platform for AI builders. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be called out on this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. If you're between 13 and 17, you may only make purchases through the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for any charges incurred. By using the Service, you confirm you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
03Accounts
You create an account by signing in with a Google or GitHub account, then choosing a username. We rely on Google or GitHub to verify your email address — we don't run our own email verification, and we never see or store a password for your LogicLadder account. Keeping the Google or GitHub account you signed in with secure is what keeps your LogicLadder account secure; you're responsible for all activity under your account. Contact us immediately at logicladder.hq@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Maintaining multiple accounts to evade a ban, manipulate matchmaking, or gain an unfair ranking advantage violates these Terms. We may take action — including suspension — against any account we become aware of doing this, whether through our own review or another user's report.
04License to Use the Service
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, or sublicense any part of the Service, reverse-engineer our scoring, matchmaking, or Elo systems, or access the Service through bots, scrapers, or other automated means without our permission.
05Your Content
You retain ownership of the logic, code, workflows, screenshots, videos, and other submissions you create and upload ("Submissions"). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the Service — including in battle feeds, session replays, leaderboards, remixes by other users of features you've made publicly available for remixing, and in our own marketing or promotional materials.
We do not use your Submissions to train AI or machine-learning models.
You confirm that your Submissions are your own work (or that you have the right to submit them), don't infringe anyone else's rights, and don't violate any law. You may delete your own Submissions or your account at any time; deleting your account removes your Submissions from public display, though we may keep limited archival records where reasonably necessary.
06Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: harass, threaten, or abuse other users; post illegal, infringing, or hateful content; impersonate another person; distribute malware or spam; attempt to access other accounts or bypass security or rate limits; create multiple accounts to manipulate matchmaking, voting, or leaderboards; coordinate vote manipulation or brigading; exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for personal advantage; or use unauthorized bots, scripts, or automated tools to play on your behalf.
We may remove any content or restrict any account, with or without notice, at our discretion.
07Purchases and Cosmetics
The Service offers optional cosmetic items — badge skins, name colors, avatar borders, and profile themes — purchasable with real money through PayPal. These items are purely cosmetic: they never affect Elo rating, matchmaking, voting, or any competitive outcome. Cosmetics are tied to your account and are not transferable, tradeable, or redeemable for cash. Purchases are digital goods, delivered automatically and immediately to your account upon successful payment. We may add, remove, or re-price cosmetics at any time.
08Refunds
All cosmetic purchases are final and non-refundable once delivered to your account, except as described below. By making a purchase, you request immediate delivery of the digital content and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any statutory cooling-off or withdrawal period that would otherwise apply.
We may, at our discretion, issue a refund in narrow cases: you were charged more than once for the same purchase due to a processing error; a purchase was charged but the cosmetic was never delivered because of a verified bug on our end; the charge was unauthorized and you report it to us within 30 days; or the item was significantly different from how we described it. Issuing a refund in one case doesn't obligate us to do so in a similar case again. Separately, where a refund is required by applicable law, we'll honor that regardless of the above — nothing in this section limits any refund, remedy, or consumer right that can't legally be excluded.
Refunds will not be issued for: a change of mind after purchase; no longer wanting or using a cosmetic you already own; buying the wrong item (purchases show a confirmation before completing); a purchase made by someone else you gave access to your account, device, or payment method; a request made more than 30 days after purchase; or a cosmetic that's already been equipped or displayed for more than 24 hours — except, in every case, where the issue was caused by our own error or a refund is required by applicable law. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, any cosmetics you own are forfeited with no refund, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
If you dispute a charge directly with PayPal or your card issuer instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your account during the investigation, and if the dispute is found to be fraudulent or made in bad faith, we may permanently revoke the disputed cosmetic and ban the account. Please contact us at logicladder.hq@gmail.com before filing a dispute — most issues can be resolved faster that way.
To request a refund, email logicladder.hq@gmail.com within 30 days of the purchase with the purchase date, your account email, and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued through PayPal to your original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on PayPal and your bank.
09Competition, Voting, and Leaderboards
The Service includes competitive features — head-to-head and multiplayer matches, community voting on submissions, and leaderboards. No real-money prizes are awarded for competitive performance. Rewards are limited to XP, levels, Elo rating, leaderboard placement, and cosmetic recognition, none of which have any real-world monetary value. We may reset, recalculate, or modify Elo ratings, leaderboards, or seasonal features at any time.
10Termination
You may delete your own account at any time from Settings → Security. We may suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms or applicable law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 5 (Your Content), 7 and 8 (Purchases and Refunds), 12 (Disclaimers), 13 (Limitation of Liability), and 14 (Indemnification) — continue to apply after your account is terminated.
11Intellectual Property
The Service itself — its design, code, challenge content we author, graphics, and the LogicLadder name and logo — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Aside from the limited license in Section 4, you have no rights in it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them freely, without compensation or attribution.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email us at logicladder.hq@gmail.com with a description of the work, the infringing content's location on the Service, and your contact information, and we'll review and respond promptly.
12Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uptime, that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that rankings, matchmaking, or scoring will be perfectly accurate. LogicLadder is under active development and features may change, break, or be removed. We make no warranties about the accuracy or reliability of user-submitted content.
13Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars ($50).
14Indemnification
You agree to hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third party's rights, or content you submit to the Service.
15Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, where the Service is operated from. If you have a dispute, please contact us first at logicladder.hq@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally — most issues can be sorted out this way.
16Geographic Availability
The Service is available internationally, but we don't guarantee it's appropriate or fully compliant with local law in every jurisdiction. If you access the Service from outside Jamaica, you're responsible for compliance with your own local laws, and any mandatory local consumer protections you're entitled to continue to apply.
17Miscellaneous
These Terms and our Privacy Policy make up the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision at any point doesn't waive our right to enforce it later. We're not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages of services we depend on (hosting, payment processing, etc.).
